Communications & Engagement
Communicating to Drive Adoption
Communication needs to be part of a strategic campaign to succeed. Too often, users are inundated with one-off FYI notices. To achieve adoption, users must be taken on a journey from awareness to action ... and then be prompted to stay engaged.
Rooting communications in a deep understanding of the audience user, their tasks, and the value of the change (metrics) will lead to a persuasive and impactful communications campaign.
The Comms Journey
Awareness
Target the message.
Get the audience users' attention. Make sure it's high-value.
This is for me.
Comprehend
Clearly convey the nature of the change and the proposed value.
This is about me
and my tasks.
Convinced
Persuade the users that the change is positive for them and superior to alternatives.
This will help me.
Action
Motivate the audience user to take a final step: a call to action.
I am going to
act now.
